UNCIAL ROMANA ND

There are many Uncial types in the type catalogues around the world, but most of them have a rough and stiff appearance. The Roman Uncial ND by Ricardo Rousselot stands out for the realism of its strokes, which look as if they are handwritten, bringing freshness and authenticity to its applications.

ABOUT

For a long time, Rousselot felt the need to convert calligraphy into type, and still make it look handwritten. There are many Carolingian and Uncial types in type catalogues all over the world, but most of them have a rough and stiff appearance. With his Carolingian and Uncial Rousselot wanted to give freshness and authenticity to the written texts. Although these types have been with us for centuries since their creation, thanks to Rousselot’s contribution they are now up-to-date and legible without losing their characteristics of the old days.

Ricardo Rousselot (born in 1936 in Argentina) is a calligrapher and graphic designer. He is part of a generation of Argentine designers who settled in Barcelona between 1967 and 1977 and contributed decisively to the renewal of design in Catalonia and Spain.
